cdc new covid-19 guidelines

CDC officials said on Monday that the recommended period for individuals to isolate after testing positive for Covid-19 is now just five days if they don't show any symptoms, and at least five additional days if they do.

The CDC also reduced the quarantine period for those who have been immunised and have been exposed to the virus to a shorter five-day period.

“ After five days, those whose symptoms are improving may leave their houses if they feel well enough to do so.”

ITwo doses of an mRNA vaccine, according to data from South Africa and the United Kingdom, are around 35% effective in preventing illness.

The efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccination against infection is restored to 75% after receiving a booster dose of this vaccine.
