Abstract

Besides completely changing the face of the digital world, the rapid growth of IoT has raised several cybersecurity issues. This research paper will discuss the relevance of AI in preventing IoT cybercrime. The detection and prevention of sophisticated cyber threats targeting IoT ecosystems can be attained by leveraging machine learning, deep learning, and other approaches of AI in security measures. This work outlines AI’s ability to evaluate incredibly vast data, detect unusual activity, and deliver protective defense mechanisms. It discusses some current AI-driven IoT security solutions, implementation challenges, and also touches on what promise AI holds for IoT network protection in the times to come. The results show how important AI is to improving IoT security and lower risks in a networked society.

Introduction

By connecting objects to increase productivity, comfort and efficiency, the Internet of Things(IoT) has completely changed daily life and whole industries. But these are serious cybersecurity concerns associates with this interconnection. Because they sometimes lack strong security features, IoT devices are popular target for scammers. Botnet attacks, illegal access, and data breaches are frequent dangers. The threat landscape is always changing, and the traditional security system finds it difficult to stay up. With its strong analytical power, artificial intelligence(AI) provides creative ways to counteract IoT cybercrimes. With an emphasis on its real time cyber threats detection, prediction and mitigation capabilities, this study discusses. How AI can improve IoT security.

Literature review

The vulnerabilities present in IoT devices are brought to light by recent studies. According to [1], IoT systems are open to unwanted access since they lack strong security and authentication procedures.

Since artificial intelligence strengthens cybersecurity defenses, it is essential to the field of cybersecurity. Artificial intelligence analyzes huge amounts of data to help detect and stop cyberattacks before they occur. To stop cyberattacks, a thorough and complex strategy that integrates many security measures at different network levels within an organization is required[2].

AI was also highlighted as a game-changing tool in cybersecurity. [3]) argue that machine learning algorithms can analyze network traffic patterns for the detection of anomalies that could be indicative of cyber-attacks. While this development remains an important milestone, challenges such as resource limitations, data protection, and the need for A diagram of a network

Methodology

This paper uses a qualitative approach by undertaking case studies and previous research into AI applications in IoT security. Major areas of attention include the following: 1. AI Techniques: Analyzing the application of natural language processing, deep learning, and machine learning in identifying and reducing IoT cyber threats.2. Case Studies: In-depth examination of practical implementations of AI-enabled IoT security systems, including predictive threat models and anomaly detection frameworks. 3. Challenges and Opportunities: Analyze the challenges to the implementation of AI in IoTs security and potential advances in AI technology that can help overcome such challenges. Data sources may include peer-reviewed journals, industry reports, and white papers from cybersecurity organizations.

Conclusion

IOT cybersecurity is greatly improved by artificial intelligence, which offers advance features for attack detection, prediction, and response. AI is an essential tool in the fight against IoT cybercrimes because of its capacity to analyze massive datasets and detect trends. However, issues including the lack of established security standards, data privacy concerns, and the limited processing power of IoT device must be resolved. Future research should be directed at the development of lightweight AI models suitable for IoT environments and international collaboration to establish common security standards. Using AI will help us build robust IoT ecosystems that can withstand the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats.
