Abstract
The existence check of news can be one of the beneficial uses of generative AI as the method introduced in this work might contribute to the automation and enhancement of the verification procedures. These consist of artificial intelligence like Machine Learning , as well as Natural Language Processing (NLP) to carry out techniques such as fact-checking, source credibility, and detection of deep fake or manipulated media. Contradictory sources of the certain claims, possible sources of the information, and discrepancies between the video and audio parts testify that AI systems can fairly compare specific claims to the accurate information in a short period. Moreover, if literal content is basis for passing judgement, then, AI, is likewise capable of detecting news articles’ bias and sensationalism. First of all, it is possible to employ generative AI in seeking to combat fake news, although there are such disadvantages as model bias and shifts in the strategies of fake news distribution. However, if it is used in the right morbid and with humans guiding it, generative AI has an essential part to leverage in defining the reliability of the news in the digital world.

Introduction
Citizens of modern society are presented with the constant and fastflow of information, therefore, the selection of the primary problem can be stated as follows: The methods of check-and sanctioning of news have not been presented as the primary problem of the society of the eighteenth-century, whereas in the contemporary world, where information is disseminated in a matter of minutes, it is one of the major concerns of people. Due to the rapid growth of technology, people can get or share information easily via the different social media platforms.[1] On the one hand, it has opened a space for exposure for many voices, on the other hand, it has increased the level of fake news and fake content exponentially. With deepfakes that make it difficult to draw the line between what is real and what is artificially generated to clickbait articles created solely to deceive, there is a growing demand for reliable methods to check the sources’ trustworthiness.[2]
Conventional methods used in the checking of facts, which requires the involvement of human beings, are unable to cope-up with the growing demand due to increased production and share of content on the internet. However, the use of such methods is normally tedious, time consuming and most of the times prone to errors because they involve so many people. Due to these challenges, there is generative AI, which is a solution that holds potential for a radical change in news authentication.
Specifically, on the use of generative AI, advances in machine learning algorithms and the implementation of NLP enable efficient generation of large amounts of data with minimal errors. Thus, when applied to aspects like fact-checking, source evaluation, or media manipulation identification, AI can improve the development of news authenticity checks’ efficiency and speed. In addition, AI has the potential to look at patterns, context, as well as the sentiment of the news articles to verify the existence of Bias, sensationalism and disinformation.
This introduces the idea of how generative AI can possibly be used to serve the purpose of establishing a presently emerging societal challenge which is the issue of fake news or rather now, news that is faster but also honest and credible.
Comparison -From Generative AI to more traditional implementations:
The drama has solely focused on the fight on the Authenticity of News. Generative AI can thus be used in a methodological perspective to assert to the credibility of news, and as such, can be justifiably considered as a new method in contrast to the traditional ones. Moreover, these methods are often labor-intensive, slow, and susceptible to human error. In response to these challenges, generative AI has emerged as a promising solution that can revolutionize how we authenticate news.
Generative AI, powered by advanced machine learning algorithms and natural language processing (NLP), offers the ability to process vast amounts of data quickly and accurately. By automating key aspects of the verification process, such as fact-checking, source analysis, and the detection of manipulated media, AI can significantly enhance the speed and accuracy of news authenticity checks. Furthermore, AI’s ability to analyze patterns, context, and sentiment in news stories provides additional layers of scrutiny that can help detect bias, sensationalism, and disinformation.
This introduction sets the stage for exploring how generative AI can be harnessed to address the growing problem of misinformation, ensuring that the news we consume is not only faster but also more reliable and trustworthy.
Comparing Generative AI with Traditional News Authenticity Checks
The emergence of generative AI as a tool for verifying news authenticity represents a significant shift from traditional methods. To understand the advantages and limitations of AI-driven approaches, it is essential to compare them with conventional techniques used in news verification.

The following paper focuses at exploring the positives and negatives associated with the use of artificial intelligence for assisting in the discernment of fake news[3].
1. Chances of Generative AI as the Solution in News Verification
a. Speed and real time based processing
The other brilliant advantage that is attributed to the generative capability concerns the prospects of processing big data faster. Since everyone is able to disseminate news in the age of the new media, it becomes important to corroborate information in record time. Due to AI’s effectiveness in the comparison of the facts, authorization of the sources, and media manipulation identification, AI can be used to detect and counteract the fake news during the specific stages of the information sharing.

Unlike the human fact checkers where one might get a different result from another, AI has algorithms that it applies to check for accuracy, prejudice, or trickery. especially useful in the sense that it minimizes the impact that one’s personal assumptions have in the course of doing assessments.
d. Advanced Detection Capabilities
One capability best demonstrated by generative AI is the ability to discern and categorise sophisticated instances of fake news like deep fake, fake image or fake video. Machine learning algorithms and deep learning neural networks exposed to a huge number of pictures can easily distinguish the original and the fake news, therefore, AI-based tools are highly efficient in detecting fake pictures. When principles ethical are kept to prevent harm the effectiveness and sureness of plan and design of AI and it being enacted is also pertinent.

a. building people skills: learning and development.
As such, people would have to continue training discriminative generative AI models on new forms of misinformation as they get older. This means that the AI models require refresh often, use more inputs, and enhance the algorithms to recognize such threats as they occur. The saying, the more the merrier often applies in this situation and this means that AI developers, journalists, and fact-checkers will need to gang up if they are to combat the actions of those who seek to enhance the fake news industry.

The former may also extend to a closer association with other publicly accessed technologies in the future of news verification. Due to the opportunity to work with the artificial intelligence verification tools, outsiders of the society can become more active to fight fake news. This democratization of fact-checking could go a very long way in check and reduce the impact of fake news.

Further prospects in making the current status of AI in new verification better will depend on collaboration with industrial players including technology and media firms, academic institutions and government. Thereby, to compare the functioning of both kinds of fact-checking, the insiders; it is possible to determine such distinctive characteristics as. Traditional methods are also preferable for training such deep context understanding, cultural considerations, and all the other oddities. But they are normally spent a lot of time, many resources and are very hard to plan for large number which do not work well in the complex and dynamic digital media environment.
On the other hand, generative AI is real-time and virtually unbounded and much faster than any hired manpower. It can also analyse and confirm great volumes of data in real-time, detect the nuances and changes in manipulation and orientation of media coverage, and it gets high levels of precision among large sets of figures. However, one has to recall that the reliability and accuracy of AI depends on the variability and quality of the training data and often cannot recreate the qualitative aspect of fact-checkers’ judgement[8].
With these factors in mind, therefore, it could be that the best way forward to highly accurate news authenticity checking, or at least the most efficient way, would be to incorporate features of the generative AI, alongside the earlier techniques. While combining the speed and flexibility of AI regarding the scaleability with the centering of people`s pattern recognition and social awareness, one has the opportunity to build a qualitative system for managing the offered modern society the task of working with false and misleading data. It can help to address currently challenges faced in using paid and non-paid source of information by endeavouring to strike a balance between paid and non-paid news and information.
